I have this great little mindfulness journal that I write in each day. Today I decided I would set my intention to do something creative. I chose to write this blog post using creativity as my focus.
I sat down with my intention and started to meditate.
There was stillness for a bit and then the thought came to me to paint what looked like mindfulness to me. I tried to reject this thought, because I’ve literally only painted a few times in my entire life. The thought kept coming back with a mental picture of creating of painting of what mindfulness looked like to me.
So, off I went to Hobby Lobby. Luckily, they were having a 50% off all their paint supplies. Coincidence? I am not sure, but I thanked the universe anyway because this could have been a very expensive challenge. I bought an easel, canvas, paints and brushes. At least I’m good and stocked up if I decide to do this challenge again.
Then I headed home. I set up my supplies. Closed my eyes again and meditated on the words “creative mindfulness”
In my mind I saw orange. My favorite color. So that is where I started. It was so relaxing as I painted. I felt so present in the mo
So today I challenge everyone reading this post to go be creative with the intent of using mindfulness as your subject. Would love to hear everyone else’s creativity ideas. Don’t forget to post on here what you came up with and check back often for more mindfulness challenges.
