As you have probably realized by now, I am a huge reader. There is nothing more peaceful to me than making myself a hot cup of herbal tea and curling up in a chair to read a good book.
Three years ago, after I got divorced, I was spending a great amount of time reflecting and working on myself. That is when I came across the book Happiness in Your Life – Book One: Karma by Doe Zantamata.
From the first chapter, I was completely blown away. We (including myself prior to reading this book) all think of Karma as a punishment for those people who have done us wrong. We also think of Karma in our own lives and feel because we are good people, that only good things should happen to us. This book helps correct our thoughts on Karma and explains exactly what it is and what it isn’t.
There are twelve laws that the author discusses and teaches us about. Beginning with one that is familiar to most of us. The Great Law, “As you sow, you shall reap”.
I read this book in probably one setting and then I read it again and again. There was a section on the Laws of Mirrors that I couldn’t understand and thought if I got it from another person’s perspective it might help. I bought a copy and gave it to a dear friend of mine. Like me, she has an open mind and a willingness to look at things from another perspective. She is always one of the most positive and happiest people I know, which is why we are such great friends.
She read it and loved it as well.
In all the author provides the twelve laws of Karma and gives examples for each law. You will be able to see similar situations in your own life in some of these examples.
Since I bought this book in 2016, I have bought this book about eight times (according to my Amazon count). I have given it as gifts to my children, friends and even to complete strangers. Anyone I feel is open-minded and lives their life eager to learn more I throw this book at.
If you want to learn about the Laws of Karma in a thorough yet simple understanding, then I suggest you get this book.
The second volume in this series is called Happiness in Your Life – Book Two: Intuition, which helps us understand how to listen to our own instincts. Something I’ve not always been good at but getting better. I just ordered her latest book in this series called Happiness in Your Life – Book Three: Forgiveness. I’m so excited for it to arrive so I can start reading it. Forgiveness is something I have always had to work at and am looking forward to her ideas on it.
