It seems within a few short weeks; everyone has panicked. People are hoarding toilet paper that they will never use in years. Our ancestors survived for thousands of years without toilet paper, and I’m confident we can too. However, no one seems worried at all about taking care of their immune system.

As a person who has an auto-immune disease, I tend to look at things from a different perspective than others. Toilet paper is my least concern. The real concern for me is keeping my immune system healthy and staying as calm and peaceful as possible.
We all know what stress can do to us, and that is why this week’s mindfulness challenge was Staying Calm In The Storm.
What am I doing to support a healthy immune system? Well, I am eating plenty of veggies, practicing staying calm, and taking supplements that support my health and well being. I’m obsessed with hand washing, so I’ve got that covered too.

The following are supplements you can take that may help support your immune system:
Dr. Tobias Deep Immune Support – I can’t say enough about this stuff. I’ve used it for several years (Amazon says I’ve purchased 29 times), during which I have been able to fight off any virus better than I ever have. A few months ago, I quit taking it to try another probiotic and immediately got sick for a week with an earache and sore throat. Nope, never again, I immediately started retaking it.
Other exceptional items for immune support are:
Manuka Honey. I’ve discussed my love for manuka honey before in the article: Why You Should Have Manuka Honey in Your House. Anytime I feel any kind of cold or flu coming on, I start taking manuka, honey. This little jar of love shortens my illness and gets me back on my feet within a few days. I usually buy the Twin Peaks Manuka Honey as listed in my previous article, but my last purchase they were out. Instead, I purchased Good Natured Raw Manuka Honey and have been happy with the results.
Lovebug Probiotics For Kids. If you have little ones, they can use some protection for the immune system as well. I have not personally taken this item (well because it’s for kids, not adults who act like kids). However, the reviews can’t be wrong.
Rainbow Light Counter Attack. Another helpful herbal supplement designed to help boost your immune system. I’ve taken it many times over the years and have always had great results.
There are two adaptogens that I regularly take that support my immune system and natural stress response, Ashwagandha and Holy Basil. They both offer so many amazing benefits, include a natural remedy to anxiety. They keep my body balanced, restored, and energized.
Other ways to boost your immune system include eating high in vegetables and fruits, exercise daily, get plenty of sleep, and wash your hands. Don’t forget that laughing boosts your immune system, and anger weakens it, so keep life full of laughter. I wish you health and happiness.
