Ask yourself this one question. What are you willing to do for peace? Everyone wishes for peace. I mean, who wouldn’t want to have a life with no drama? However, most of us have no idea that we must set some boundaries to get to the life we wish for.
Trust me; once you start setting boundaries, the most exciting thing will occur. You will find out the people who genuinely care for you. It’s scary, I know, but isn’t it more frightening knowing your living a life with people who don’t care for you?
Setting boundaries is the healthiest thing you can do for yourself. Will everybody adore you when you do it? Nope. Some will even hate you, but that’s ok. That shows their personality, not yours.
I made a decision several years ago that upset a lot of people. What I found out was those people didn’t care about me, to begin with. The people I lost were mad because they lost the person who did things for them. Their cook, housekeeper, errand girl, babysitter, driver, protector, and many other things. I was doing everything possible to make them happy, and it was draining me of my happiness and energy.
The thing I learned is no matter what I did; they never would be happy. It would never be enough. The people that are still in my life now are the ones who cared about me. The ones who never judged or criticized me. Those are the people that are still in my life. They are the reason I have peace.
Peace can become a lens through which you see the world. Be it. Live it. Radiate it out. Peace is an inside job. —Wayne Dyer
The following are four things you can start doing right now to find more peace in your life.
Meditation: Meditating regularly offers many benefits. Adding a daily meditation will lift your spirits and give you peace.
Gratitude Journal: We all have something to be grateful for. Keep a journal and write what you are thankful for each day.
Let Go: Toxic people will drain your energy. They are never happy and complain about their lives no matter what you do for them. They bring drama and negativity into your life. If you want peace, let go of these people.
Invite: Invite people in your life that match your vibe. Surround yourself with positive, happy, goal-oriented people. The people you give your time to should inspire and encourage you.
Incorporate these four things into your life right now, then sit back and let the peace flood in. I’ve included a free download for you to print my 4 Rules to Find Peace.
