Love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is almost here, my friends. The day we look at our significant other with a little more love in our eyes. We let go of all their habits that drive us insane and think about all the great times we’ve shared. Nothing but love.

It’s also the day for many where they are wondering how they can show that love to someone special. I love giving gifts that are different from the regular go-to flowers and candy. If you are looking for something different for the one you love, check out these unique Valentine Day gifts:
Books
My guy is not much of a reader, but he loves when I read to him. Several years ago, we went to Colorado, and on the way, I read the 5 Love Languages. We learned so much about one another by doing this. I would read a chapter, and then we’d discuss what I’d read. It was great and brought us a new understanding of one another. Reading books together can be fun and help strengthen your relationship. Here are some great books on love:
The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman, True Love by Thich Nhat Hahn, The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm and Real Love by Sharon Salzberg
Couple Gifts
These gifts can benefit you both, bring a connection, or show your love in unique ways. Date Night Cards by a Year of Dates, First Dance Lyric by Sole Studio, Hand Drawn Caricature by Give A Laughs Drawings, Personalized Romantic Pillowcases by Qualtry, Personalized Love Lock by True Moments Gift, and Couples Engagement Map by Poppie and Erie.
Gifts for Him
The first gift I ever bought my guy for Valentine’s Day was a personalized keychain by Ancy Pants that I had inscribed with words that we say to one another. Here are some other great gift ideas for the special guy in your life:
Nothing says I love you more than your face all over his boxers, check out these custom underwear by Lavendair Crafts. Wood engraved watch and box by Muujee Gifts, Best Boyfriend Ever shirt by Odyssey, Grounding Hematite Bracelet by Soul Bead Jewels, and Custom Song Print by Rindle Waves.
He walked into my heart like he’d always been there, took down my walls and lit my soul on fire.” – T.M.
Gifts for Her
The best gift for her would be the hints she has been dropping all year long. However, in the rare case, she hasn’t, check out these: Live Philodendron Plant (the leaves are heart-shaped, and it’s easy to care for), Red Stained Glass Heart by Dort Designs, Love Wall Art by Nine Dragons, Red Cashmere Scarf, and Heart Charm bracelet by Nicoletti.
Long ago (in a previous relationship), I was asked what I wanted for a particular day, my response was a love letter. I never received it from him, even though I would continue to ask for it for several years. Women love to see the words of how a man feels about her in writing. Do yourself a favor, men, and give your women Love Letters.
The next best thing right after a personal poem or love letter would be a book of love poems (Hint: Highlight some of your favorites for her). Check out these poetry books with some of the best love poems of all times: Love Her Wild: Poems by Atticus, Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell, Milk, and Honey by Rupi Kauer, and Wild Embers by Nikita Gill.
If you are planning on popping the question, check out this unique art deco engagement ring from NY Fine Jewelry.
She is delightfully chaotic, a beautiful mess, loving her is a splendid adventure.” – Steve Maraboli
Even if none of these ideas work for you, I hope at least I sparked your creative side to find something special for the one you love.
